Earlier in the innings, we saw that Chattogram Challengers were put on the back foot early on as they lost some wickets. Avishka Fernando was stranded at one end and he rebuilt the innings slowly. He was a part of a few good partnerships but he switched gears along with Najibullah Zadran. Curtis Campher was his next partner and he played a quick-fire cameo to end the innings. Avishka Fernando got 91 under his name and put up a good score on the board for his team. For Fortune Barishal, Taijul Islam was the pick of the bowlers for his two wickets.

Fortune Barishal got of to a strong start with their opening pair of Tamim Iqbal and Ahmed Shehzad going ballistic and scoring some quick runs. After, that none of the batters could release the pressure as all got off to good starts but failed to take their innings deep. They were sent a few steps back by the spell Curtis Campher bowled. Mehidy Hasan batted convincingly but he couldn’t manage to see it through. They never looked comfortable after the initial phases and allowed the opposition to bounce back strongly.
