Carlos Brathwaite wins the Player of the Match award. He says he just tried to hit the stumps and to hit the right length. Reckons Dominic Drakes is young but is working hard. Tells he is happy to have his family around.
James Vince says they bowled well, the wicket was slower than normal and his bowlers executed the plan. Reckons they needed a decent start as otherwise, the opposition could have got better of them. Tells he gets a lot of opportunities up the order and hopes to score more runs for his team.
David Warner says the height of Gulf Giants bowlers helped with the seam movement. Adds they could have scored 30 more runs but credit to Sikandar Raza for the way he played, he is doing all the right thing but other needs to do well. Reckons the ball was holding so he went with the seamers first. Mentions it has been up and down for them this season but need consistency now and hopes for a good game from all the players.
The pitch got easy to bat on as compared to the first innings. Dubai Capitals were always short of runs. Thanks to Sikandar Raza that they finished with a competitive total but it never looked like a winning total. Things could have been different had they introduced Sikandar Raza and Roelof van der Merwe a bit earlier as these two gave a small hope. However, before that Dubai Capitals looked clueless with the ball and they lost the match there. A win for Gulf Giants and they move third on the table for now.
Well, that was not easy as it first looked like. The Giants made it difficult for themselves as they lost a flurry of wickets at the back end but the victory was never in doubt. James Vince and Chris Lynn got Gulf Giants off to a flier, the way they were hitting, it looked like they will win inside 15 overs but the victory was pushed further back as there were few hiccups but Jordan Cox and Dominic Drakes hung and made sure there were no more problem.
