Commentry
That is all from this game. India seal the series but we have one more ODI match to go. Join us on the 23rd of this month at 1.30 pm IST (8 am GMT) and earlier for the build up. Till then, cheers!
Harmanpreet Kaur wins the Player of the Match award. She says it was a good game overall for Women's cricket and happy with how both teams played. Tells they were up to the mark with the bat but there are some improvements to be made while bowling. Shares Smriti Mandhana told she was a great bowler and she insisted on bowling few overs but was happy she got a wicket as well. Reckons Deepti Sharma is experienced and she always delivers for the team. On her ton, Kaur says she was not letting any negative thoughts get in and tells she worked hard and is happy to deliver for the team.
Laura Wolvaardt says 4 runs is heartbreaking but credit to her team to get close. Adds they did not have the best of starts but Kapp was brilliant and got them into a position to win the game. Mentions they gave away too much in the last 10 and they need to learn from that. Adds they just need to look at the positives and move ahead. Ends by saying she’ll have a good sleep and it was a good effort out there.
...Presentation next...
Chasing a massive total, South Africa lost a couple of wickets early. Then came the stand which turned the tide on its head. A stand well over 150 between Kapp and Wolvaardt got their side back in the game. Both scored tons. Kapp fell shortly after getting to a ton and still a lot had to be done after that. Laura though continued along with Nadine de Klerk who put up another very good stand. It come down to 11 needed in the last over and 6 needed in 4. Pooja though kept her cool. She only conceded one run in the last 4 balls to take her side over the line and seal the series. We saw four centuries today, four of highest quality but it was the centurions from India who came out on top in the end.
What an absolutely brilliant game of cricket! India come out victorious in the end but after scoring 324, they wouldn’t have thought, it would come so close. Credit to Laura Wolvaardt and Marizanne Kapp to play the way they did. Credit also to Pooja Vastrakar to hold her nerve right towards the end. Overall, a game to remember.

DOT BALL! Nerves, absolute nerves from Pooja Vastrakar! Take a bow! A slower length ball, outside off, Wolvaardt swings hard but fails to connect. Started with two full tosses but was bang on after that. INDIA WIN BY 4 RUNS.
Pooja Vastrakar and Harmanpreet Kaur are having a long chat. Tense faces in the visitors dugout.

OUT! GONE! Big wicket for India! Smart from Pooja! Bowls it full and away from Nadine de Klerk's arc, she drags her shot but toe ends it to long on. Arundhati Reddy holds her nerves and takes it.

FOUR! STREAKY! South Africa Women won't mind how it comes. A full toss, outside off, Nadine de Klerk looks to cut but outside edges it past short third man for a boundary. Two full tosses from Pooja Vastrakar. She is feeling the pressure.

SIX! The extra ball turns out to be a six! 11 runs needed off the last over. A gentle full toss and Nadine de Klerk slogs it over square leg for a biggie.
