Match 9, Birmingham, July 07, 2024, 05:00 PM
South Africa Champions
174/5(20.0ov)
West Indies Champions
175/4(19.1ov)
West Indies Champions beat South Africa Champions by 6 wickets
That's it from this game then! Another game follows and it is a clash between England and Pakistan. Do join us for that. Till then, goodbye and take care!
Chris Gayle has been awarded the MAN OF THE MATCH AWARD!
For South Africa, the pacers were really good, especially Philander. He was the one who got them back into the game but they'll be disappointed with how Tahir bowled! He went for a lot and his spell is what cost them the game. Still though we believe they were a little short of what would have been an over par total.
West Indies manage to win their first game then! A close one but they have come out on top. They were off to a sedate start but then Gayle started to fire. He took his team within winning distance but then his fir lost a few wickets in a heap and were on the back foot. Edwards and Walton though stayed till the end and took their side over the line.
