Former IPL player, Ambati Rayudu has been phenomenal in his IPL journey throughout the years and has been a part of the winning side every year he has featured in that team. Rayudu has played for both Mumbai Indian and Chennai Super Kings in his playing years and he still chooses CSK over MI as the former franchise has provided him with a lot of memories to cherish. 

Rayudu being a mainstay 

Rayudu, played for the Mumbai Indians from 201O to 2017 and was a part of the franchise’s three winnings years. That was the time when MI was still building itself as a renowned franchise and this experience provided Ambati with ample opportunities and memories to cherish. While speaking upon his journey in the West franchise, he remarked “I would remember myself as being very flexible in a team environment. I would bat open as well as in the middle order and lower middle order. That is one area where I take a lot of pride in, contributing to the team, and I cherish that aspect a lot in my career.”

Going to CSK as a new exciting journey 

Speaking further about his career in the IPL, Rayudu expressed that becoming a part of CSK was even more special for him as he played the role of an opener very well and adapted to team conditions quite easily. He also propelled the team to winning the trophy and was on the winning side three times. 

During a candid podcast on YouTube, Ambati opened up about his journey in the CSK and stated “I had a great journey with Mumbai Indians, but going to CSK was even more special. It was like a whole flashback going on in my head, recalling what we used to do every day. From then on, I got used to being in CSK.”
