In a distressing turn of events, Lokendra Singh Chahar, the father of Indian all-rounder Deepak Chahar, has suffered a brain stroke, leading to his admission to Mithraj Hospital in Aligarh. The unfortunate incident occurred while Lokendra Singh Chahar was attending a wedding function in Aligarh. Reports suggest that he encountered the stroke during the event. Deepak Chahar, upon learning about his father’s critical health condition on December 2, swiftly traveled from Bengaluru to Delhi and proceeded by road to reach Aligarh.
Presently, Lokendra Singh Chahar’s health remains critical, and the family is contemplating the possibility of shifting him to either Delhi or Agra for advanced medical care. It is noted that he is a diabetic patient and also suffers from hypertension, factors that potentially complicate his condition. The hospital is providing treatment, and he is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Deepak Chahar’s recent cricketing endeavors saw him play a crucial role in the fourth T20I against Australia, contributing to India’s series-clinching victory. He scored 0 runs in his brief batting stint but made a significant impact with the ball, taking two key wickets in the form of Tim David and Matthew Short.
The 31-year-old cricketer had recently returned to international cricket after a hiatus of almost a year. His comeback took place during the IPL 2023 season, where he represented the Chennai Super Kings.
