ICC Cricket World Cup is just fifteen days away. Every team is doing last-time preparations. Before the World Cup, India will be facing Australia in a three-match ODI series on home soil. The series will start from September 22. Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot are the venues for this series.
India finished high in the Asia Cup. They bagged a victory of 10 wickets along with the title. Throughout the tournament, Indian players were in good rhythm. In the final Mohammed Siraj was in a dreamy form. In an interaction with the media, Indian bowler Deepak Chahar spoke about the rhythm of the pacers.
Chahar’s comment:
In a recent media interaction, the bowler said,” Both game time and rest are important. Rest should be given to players but also they should get to play matches. Rhythm is important. It is good for a player when he is in good rhythm and can carry it forward.”
While talking about the three-match ODI series between India and Australia, Deepak said,” We have these 2-3 matches through which we will get good practice. Australia is a good opponent for us and we will get to learn a lot. It is about keeping them fresh and maintaining their rhythm. It should be the management call.”
Scenario before the series and the World Cup:
According to the announced squad, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya have been rested from the first two ODI. They will join the squad in the third and last ODI of the series.
