Another thrilling match ticked from the pages of the IPL 2024. In the 15th match of the league, Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced Lucknow Super Giants at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The match set the excitement level of the game to another level. LSG registered an amazing performance. After that match, the batting performance impacted the Orange Cap list. 

The Super Giants Amazing Performance:

In the first innings, Lucknow Super Giants made a steady start with KL Rahul at the crease, but his dismissal for 20 runs halted their momentum. Devdutt Padikkal faced a tough outing, managing only 6 runs before departing. Marcus Stoinis contributed 24 runs to the scoreboard, but it was Nicholas Pooran who shone with an unbeaten 40 runs off 21 balls, showcasing his batting prowess.

However, the standout performance came from Quinton de Kock, who displayed a batting masterclass. His remarkable innings of 81 runs off 56 balls propelled the Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a formidable total. De Kock’s innings, characterized by a strike rate of 144.64, included 8 boundaries and 5 sixes, elevating him in the rankings for the orange cap. His impactful contribution ensured a commanding position for RCB in the match, leaving a lasting impression with his exceptional batting display.

RCB’s Struggle:

After facing defeat in the last match, RCB faced hard luck again. While batting in the second innings, they faced some difficulties. Virat Kohli got out on the 5th over in 22 runs. The was a huge wicket. After that skipper Faf du Plessis was runout scoring 19 runs in 13 balls. Glenn Maxwell walked away on a duck. Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar were trying to build the partnership. But Green was dismissed by Mayank Yadav on 9 runs. 

Rajat Patidar lost his wicket on 29 runs in 21 balls with 2 boundaries and 2 over-boundaries. Anuj Rawat and Mahipal Lomror were trying to build a wall. But Rawat was dismissed on 11 runs. Lomror’s excellent innings ended with 33 runs. Mohammed Siraj added 12 runs in the end. But Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost the match by 28 runs.
