IPL 2020: Why Royal Challengers Bangalore have the Best Chance of Winning this Year
Why is DJ Bravo not playing today’s match vs MI?
For Dhoni, even this IPL is going to a huge platform of the comeback. He has hit the ground after months. Chennai Super Kings won the toss and Dhoni chose to bowl first. When the line-up was announced, to everyone’s surprise, Dwayne Bravo missed the squad for the first fixture. Sam Curran replaced Bravo in the first match of IPL 2020.
Why is Bravo excluded?
Dwayne Bravo recently became the first cricketer to scalp 500 T20 wickets. In the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League he showed his class and skill. In 10 CPL matches, he bagged nine-wicket with the best being 2/7. The T20 specialist was definitely in focus and a huge hope for Chennai Super Kings fans. Especially in the absence of Raina, Bravo’s experience in the middle order would have been handy for the team. But Bravo was not featured in the first game of CSK.
Bravo did not bowl in the final match of the Caribbean Premier League for Trinbago Knight Riders. He was having an issue with his knee. In all probability, he had to give a miss to the first IPL game for the same reason. The CPL final was played just nine days ago and hence, the veteran does need more time to be match-fit.
