It’s all set for yet another IPL auction. Since 2008, the IPL auction has been a prime talking point of the cricket world. A number of high-profile international cricketers along with some newbies go under the hammer for the cash-rich Indian Premier League. From business tycoons to the biggest Bollywood stars bid the cricketers on behalf of IPL franchises. This time it is going to be a mini-auction where eight IPL franchises will take part in Chennai on February 18.
A total number of 292 players will be auctioned tomorrow out of which 164 Indian players, 125 overseas players, and three players from Associate Nations will be brought up time to time. Two crores is the highest reserve price for tomorrow’s auction and two Indian players – Harbhajan Singh and Kedar Jadhav – and eight overseas players – Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy & Mark Wood have been put in the highest bracket. There will be 12 players with a base price of 1.5 crores. Hanuma Vihari and Umesh Yadav are the two Indian players in the list of 11 cricketers with a base price of INR 1 crore.
