Toyam Hyderabad is still reeling from their heartbreaking one-run loss to the Indian Capitals in their last outing. Despite George Worker's scintillating half-century and Peter Trego's blistering knock, they fell agonizingly short. Determined to bounce back, skipper Suresh Raina, Chadwick Walton, and the rest of the squad will look to make a telling impact today. The side looked a bit rusty in their last game but we can expect them to bounce back in this one.

.. MATCHDAY ...
Two last-ball thrillers over the first two days of the 2024 Legends League Cricket have truly set the tone for what promises to be an exhilarating competition. To cap off the opening weekend, Toyam Hyderabad will lock horns with the Gujarat Greats at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur for match number 3 of the tournament. Hyderabad, having already played a game where they suffered a heartbreaking last-ball defeat, will be looking to bounce back, while Gujarat will be making their first appearance this season. Each team had the option to retain a maximum of three players, but Gujarat opted to retain just one – the 'Universe Boss', Chris Gayle. Gayle will form a dynamic opening partnership with Shikhar Dhawan, who recently retired from international and domestic cricket. Dhawan, who will captain the side, brings a wealth of experience, and Gujarat will be hoping to go all the way this season under his leadership. Gujarat’s batting lineup is further bolstered by the additions of Lendl Simmons, Mohammad Kaif, Sybrand Engelbrecht, and Morne van Wyk, setting the stage for a powerful showing in their opening game. On the bowling front, Sreesanth will spearhead the pace attack, supported by Ishwar Pandey and the West Indian duo of Jerome Taylor and Shannon Gabriel. However, the spin department appears a bit thin, with Seekkuge Prasanna likely to carry most of the burden. Prasanna will also contribute with the bat, alongside English seam-bowling all-rounder Liam Plunkett, adding depth to the lineup. As for Toyam Hyderabad, they will be led by the experienced Suresh Raina, who will be eager to rally his troops after their narrow loss. While they wouldn’t want to dwell too much on that defeat, Hyderabad will need their batting unit, particularly Suresh Raina, Chadwick Walton, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, and Rikki Clarke, to step up. All-rounders Peter Trego and Stuart Binny will play pivotal roles, while George Worker will be looking to build on his promising performance with the bat. On the bowling front, Isuru Udana and Nuwan Pradeep will need to tighten their lines after taking a bit of a tap in their first outing. Meanwhile, spinners Bipul Sharma and Samiullah Shinwari, who had a decent game, will once again play a crucial role. It promises to be another exciting clash, with both teams eager to secure their first win of the season. Will Toyam Hyderabad bounce back from their last-ball defeat, or will the Gujarat Greats get off to a winning start? We shall find out soon.
