Earlier in the game, the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots set a target of 194, with standout performances from Kyle Mayers (60 off 30) and captain Andre Fletcher (93 off 61). After losing Evin Lewis early, Mayers and Fletcher built a strong innings, supported by Rilee Rossouw's quickfire 20. Chris Jordan was Trinbago Knight Riders' best bowler with 2/29, but the rest of the bowling attack struggled.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots will be upset with their performance. They thought they had the game in the second half of the second inning, but Nicholas Pooran had different plans. The turning point in the game was the 17th over from Jeremiah Louis, which went for 21 runs, and following that, Anrich Nortje's 18th over went for 18 runs. Tabraiz Shamsi and Kyle Mayers were good, but the rest of their bowlers leaked runs.
What a display of batting this has been from the Trinbago Knight Riders! They were dealt with an early setback with the loss of Keacy Carty. Jason Roy and Nicholas Pooran provided a strong response, scoring runs aggressively and setting a solid foundation. Although the scoring rate slowed following Roy's dismissal. Pooran, later pressed on the accelerator, displaying exceptional form as he guided his team to victory with an unbeaten score of 93 off just 43 balls. Just to remind you, Nicholas Pooran was dropped 4 times and it came back to haunt the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
