In pursuit of a target of 135 runs, Nepal delivered an impressive performance, reaching their goal in 17.1 overs while losing just two wickets. The star of the chase was undoubtedly Aasif Sheikh, who played a match-winning innings, remaining unbeaten with a remarkable 63 runs. His 50-ball knock included six fours and two sixes, which guided Nepal to a memorable victory.

Rohit Paudel also played a vital role, scoring the winning runs and remaining unbeaten with 35 runs off 21 balls. Gulshan Jha contributed with 22 runs, while Kushal Bhurtel added 11 runs, solidifying Nepal’s victory and securing their spot in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

UAE’s Tough Challenge and Nepal’s Exceptional Bowling

The path to victory wasn’t without its challenges. In the first inning, Nepal’s bowlers held UAE to a modest total of 134 runs. Despite UAE’s quick start, with Muhammad Waseem launching an early attack, Sompal Kami’s decisive performance shifted the momentum in Nepal’s favor. Kami’s crucial run-out and the removal of the dangerous Waseem (for 26 runs) in the fourth over set the stage for Nepal’s strong position in the match.

Nepal’s bowlers continued to control the game, particularly Kushal Malla, who proved to be the standout performer, taking three wickets while conceding just 11 runs in his three overs.
