In a high-scoring encounter at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) posted a competitive total of 181/5 in their 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). LSG captain KL Rahul opted to bat first after winning the toss, and the decision seemed justified as the opening pair of Quinton de Kock and Rahul provided a solid start, putting up a 53-run partnership. However, Rahul departed after scoring 20 off 14 balls.

The innings was anchored by South African batsman Quinton de Kock, who played a superb knock of 81 runs off 52 deliveries. He was well-supported by Marcus Stoinis, who contributed 24 off 15 balls. provided the late surge, smashing 40 off just 21 deliveries, including some big hits towards the end of the innings. His quickfire innings ensured that LSG reached a challenging total of 181.

Nicholas Pooran hits 106 m six

Nicholas Pooran showcased his power-hitting prowess with a massive six off Topley’s bowling. Despite the slower delivery, Pooran stayed back, waited for the ball, and unleashed a brutal swing. The ball soared high, clearing the boundary with ease and even landed on the roof, emphasizing his dominance and punishing Royal Challengers Bangalore for their earlier missed chance.

RCB skipper Faf du Plessis chose to field first but his bowlers were unable to contain the LSG batsmen, especially de Kock and Pooran, who took the attack to the RCB bowlers. Now, RCB will have to chase down the target of 182 to secure victory in the match.
