The match took place in Ranchi, and it witnessed a barrage of boundaries and sixes that left cricket enthusiasts astounded.

The driving force behind Punjab’s monumental total were Abhishek Sharma and Anmolpreet Singh. Abhishek Sharma’s scintillating innings of 112 off just 55 balls and Anmolpreet Singh’s explosive 87 off 26 balls proved to be the backbone of Punjab’s innings. They provided a blistering start, putting up 93 runs for the opening wicket.

As Sharma took charge as the aggressor, Prabhsimran played a supporting role in the partnership. Even though Andhra Pradesh managed to take wickets in the middle, the duo of Anmolpreet Singh and Abhishek Sharma displayed outstanding teamwork, adding 103 runs for the fourth wicket. Their explosive hitting pushed Punjab to a total that seemed insurmountable.

This extraordinary total of 275/6 not only set a new record for the highest team total in SMAT history but also established a record for the highest total by an Indian T20 team. This feat surpassed Royal Challengers Bangalore’s 263/5 in IPL 2013, highlighting the magnitude of Punjab’s achievement. The innings also featured a remarkable 22 sixes, setting a new record for the most sixes hit by an Indian T20 team in a single match.
