In an outstanding affair, today Mumbai Indians bowlers ran through the entire Kings XI Punjab line-up to claim a stunning victory for their side. No wonder the Purple Cab table is dominated by the Mumbai Indian bowlers with the KXIP star, Mohammad Shami still managing to top.

Shami got one major success today against Mumbai Indians although he ensured to scalp the most important wicket of the defending champions- Rohit Sharma. It was not a usual good day at the office for Shami and he ended up with 4-0-36-1. But his consistency has been rewarded. This is why Shami still leads the race of the highest wicket-takers despite today’s brilliant spells from Mumbai Indians bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah finally looked back on track. He took two wickets and ended up as the most economical bowler of Mumbai Indians. Rahul Chahar, James Pattinson also took two each with Krunal Pandya and Trent Boult picking up one wicket each. Chahar stands at 3rd place now followed by his teammates Boult, Pattinson, Bumrah at 5th, 8th, and 9th place.
