In the last year, the biggest cricketing tournament was the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. In that tournament, Team India performed exceptionally well. Till the final match, India’s journey was nothing less than a dream. India’s star pacer Mohammad Shami ruled the tournament. After the World Cup, he went out of cricket action due to a knee injury. His recovery is also delayed. However, as per the reports, Mohammad Shami will travel to London for a consultation about his injury. Rishabh Pant will also accompany him.

Injuries of Indian Stars:

Mohammad Shami ruled the whole World Cup tournament. He ended up in the tournament being the highest wicketkeeper with 24 wickets. Opponent batters were scared to bat in front of the Indian pacer. He was injured throughout the World Cup but played with it. After the end of this tournament, he went out of action and now, he is going to miss the first two Tests against England.

On the other hand, Rishabh Pant met a life-threatening accident in December 2023. After that, he went through surgeries. He went out of cricket action after that. He went to NCA for rehab. But he makes a remarkable recovery and makes his way to comeback.

London Calling for Recovery:

Mohammad Shami’s recovery is progressing well, with the National Cricket Academy’s medical team satisfied. Although initially eyeing a return for the five-match Test series against England after missing the South Africa series, he couldn’t recover in time and was left out of the first two Tests. Reports suggest Shami, aged 33, will soon head to London for further treatment. Nitin Patel, head of the NCA’s Sports Science department, who aided Shami in his recovery, will accompany him. The cricketer aims to get back in shape after a setback and is optimistic about returning to the field soon.

The report mentions that the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) is considering sending wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant to London. The 26-year-old, recovering from a car crash on December 30, 2022, has been undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA and has shown impressive progress. The cricket board is exploring the option of having Pant join the team in London. His recovery has been notable, and there’s a chance he might be part of the squad for further support. The BCCI is closely monitoring Pant’s rehabilitation, contemplating his inclusion in the upcoming cricket events.

Mumbai batsman Prithvi Shaw, recovering from a knee injury, needs an additional month before making a competitive cricket comeback. Shaw, presently undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA, is targeted for a return during the knockout stages of the Ranji Trophy, according to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
