The marquee event is in process, with the first match being finished yesterday, in which New Zealand emerged victorious. The second match is being played today between Pakistan and the Netherlands; it is yet to be seen which team secures a victory over the other one. For tomorrow, two matches have been scheduled, one between Bangladesh and Afghanistan and another between South Africa and Sri Lanka.
The match between South Africa and Sri Lanka will be held at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. Both teams are quite excited and nervous to put on their first game of the 2023 World Cup. Ahead of their first match, South African captain Temba Bavuma is full of praise for his fellow teammate Heinrich Klassen. Let’s see what the captain has to say about the South African batter.
“He is walking on water,” says Bavuma.
As South Africa is all set to take on the field tomorrow against Sri Lanka, Temba Bavuma’s showcased extreme devotion and trust in right-handed batsman Heinrich Klassen. The 33-year-old captain stated that Heinrich has proved to be of great benefit to the team in the last matches and that he is likely to score big in tomorrow’s match as well.
Bavuma asserted full confidence in Heinrich while saying, “Klassen is walking on water at the moment with the way he’s been batting. He is obviously a big player for us. He has been a part of our group for a number of years, and he’s truly shown why there has been so much faith and backing in his ability.”
Klassen’s classic approach to his game
The 32-year-old batter has been in incredible form for a very long time. Having amassed an enormous score of 527 runs in just 11 ODIs at an average of 58.55, he really stands ahead of the general crowd. Having scored his best at 174, he hit two centuries and one fifty in the white-ball format ODI series against Australia at home.
