Riyan is the face of Assam cricket. He is an exceptionally talented all-rounder on that team. At such a young age, he achieved so much. In the match against Kerala, he scored a 33-ball fifty. With that half-century, he set an outstanding record. He has smashed some big hits. His electrifying innings helped his team to win the match. 

After scoring this half-century, Riyan set a new record. He has become the first player in T20s to hit six consecutive sixes. He broke Virender Sehwag and David Warner’s record of five half-centuries. Riyan has been incredible throughout the tournament. He scores 61 in 34 balls, 76 in 37 balls, 53 in 29 balls, 76 in 39 balls, 72 in 37 balls, and 57 in 33 balls in the previous six innings. Till now, Riyan scored 440 runs with an average of 62.86.

Match Summary:

Assam faced Kerala at the MCA Cricket Ground in Mumbai in the 113-number match of the tournament. Initially, after winning the toss, Assam chose to bowl first. Kerala didn’t have a good start. Opener V. Nayanar got out on 2 runs in 7 balls. Rohan Kunnumal scored 31 runs in 31 balls. Abdul Basith played an unbeaten knock of 46 runs in 31 balls. After 20 overs they scored 127/6.

Assam has a dicey start. Two openers got out quickly. Riyan Parag took their innings to another level. He played an unbeaten knock of 57 runs in 33 balls. He smashed 1 boundary and 6 over-boundaries. They won the match by 2 wickets.

In IPL 2023, this young batter was criticized badly for his poor form. After that, he came back and performed with all his brilliance. After the World Cup, India will be playing a five-match T20 series. He can eye on that series. In 2024, the T20 World Cup is coming. That can be a goal for him.
